Helpful Hints:

1. Before you make any changes, be sure to lock all the courses that you do NOT want to change.

Click on the Lock icon and this will lock the class you select. If you do not lock the classes you want to keep, there is a possibility that: 1) the program will change the sections (if available) for some if not ALL of your classes, and 2) that a course could be lost. We do not want that to happen.

2 .In general, you will want to Add a Class BEFORE dropping one. That way, if you can’t get into the class you want to add, you will still have one on your schedule.

3. You are limited to 18 credits per semester.  Credit raises for schedule adjustments (ex: adding Class X and once you’re approved, you’ll drop Class Y) are NOT allowed.  You have to work within your 18 credit limit.

4. For each change that you are SURE that you want to make (example, you KNOW that you want to drop Class X), you need to do the change and then click the Submit button.  This tells Scheduling Assistant that no matter what happens, you do not want to take Class X.
